Katarzyna :: Celebrant

Funerals

The first funeral services I conducted as a celebrant were for the services for both my parents who passed away within 5 weeks of each other. This experience gave me an appreciation of of the emotional highs and lows people experience at such a time time. I am forever grateful for the support they gave me, both in life and then in death, which allowed me to find my new calling - as a celebrant .

Supporting you and your family.

  • I’m there to provide you with support in those first few difficult days after the person you love has died. I see my role as a support person for you, your family and friends. I’ll work alongside the funeral director and together we are there to help take the burden off you all at this emotionally charged time.

  • Meeting up face-to-face is an essential part of my role as your Celebrant. It gives me opportunity to listen to what you and your family want to have in the service and who your key speakers will be.

  • I’ll then build your service, liaising with those people you have identified as best to assist me at this time.

  • I will support you with the service sheet and format of the service. My aim is to try and personalise the service so that it not only reflects the person who has passed, but yourselves as the family

  • The format of the order of service, and the full service, will be sent to you to read over prior to the day. This is to ensure I have captured their life story, and your wishes, as you would like them to be.

  • I liaise with the funeral director during this time and will arrive an hour before the service to ensure that everything is in place.

My fee is incorporated into the overall cost of the funeral so there is no need to pay me separately.

“As is a tale, so is life: not how long it is, but how good it is, is what matters”

— Lucius Annaeus Seneca
